You can pinch me because I must be dreaming. Actually, don’t pinch me, let me keep dreaming. In a shocking surprise to blues fans everywhere, Chelsea Football Club have actually bought someone, and you know what he’s actually pretty good, and he wasn’t even that expensive!! Coming in at a hot 43.6 million dollars is some pretty good business for the 26 year old Moroccan playmaker.
Because I’m the negative Nancy that I am I’ll bring up the fact that they should’ve brought him two weeks ago so he could come and help out for the second half of the season. Chelsea fans are gonna have to wait until after the summer for his arrival to Stamford Bridge. You never know, maybe Ajax wouldn’t let him go just yet, or maybe the price was much cheaper if we let him finish the season in Amsterdam. Whatever the case maybe I won’t let anything rain on this parade.
Ziyech is a very exciting player, who I could see implemented at the 10 role of a creative attacking midfielder that we’ve really been lacking this year, or on either wing. Chelsea have been awful against weaker opponents this campaign (and always) who like to sit back and defend. We sometimes swing the ball back and forth with no sense of how to attack with it. A player like Ziyech who will pick up the ball and run right at defenders is what we’re missing. Also someone who can score from the midfield and take the load off Tammy Abraham.
Chelsea got a fantastic player that they desperately needed and I for one can’t wait to see him suit up for us. Yes lets celebrate it, but hopefully the Chelsea Board don’t just sit back with this one signing and call it a day. We need more signings and big ones if we wanna catch up to Man City, Liverpool, and be a threat in the Champions League. I would like a new left back please! Also there’s this English kid in Germany who I hear isn’t too bad (Please for the love of God and everything holy sign Jadon Sancho).
